NEW ORLEANS, LA (April 10, 2018)—The Zurich Classic of New Orleans, working in conjunction with the PGA TOUR, announced today it will be the first PGA TOUR event to feature walk-up music. Each two-man team will have an opportunity to select their walk-up song to be played on the first tee at TPC Louisiana as they are introduced for the final. Zurich Classic of New Orleans 2019 - Jon Rahm/Ryan Palmer, 262 2018 - Billy Horschel/Scott Piercy, 266 2017 - Jonas Blixt/Cameron Smith, 261 2016 - Brian Stuard-p-w, 201 2015 - Justin Rose, 266 2014 - Seung-Yul Noh, 269 2013 - Billy Horschel 268 2012 - Jason Dufner-p, 269 2011 - Bubba Watson-p, 273 2010 - Jason Bohn, 270 2009 - Jerry Kelly, 274.
- Updated Oct.03, 2018 17:58. TOURNAMENT NAME Zurich Classic of New Orleans YEAR 2018 DATES Apr.26 - Apr.29, 2018 COURSE TPC Louisiana PURSE $7,200,000.
- Zurich ambassadors Sergio Garcia and Tommy Fleetwood finished second at 23-under 265. For Fleetwood, it was the second consecutive top-five at the event, pairing with Chris Paisley in 2018 for a T4. Garcia was coming off a missed cut in 2018 with partner Rafa Cabrera Bello.
- The PGA Tour schedule was aching for some new formats that got away from the one-man 72-hole stroke play event. The Zurich Classic has delivered and is a win, but there are still drawbacks.

What’s the board’s consensus of the alternate shot format?
Two years in a row that most of the top talent gets bounced after two rounds. Are they gonna keep coming if that keeps happening?

Heard a few guys after the round day their strategy is just fairways and greens on alt shot day. Several say it's hard to get into a rhythm. You figure in one round, the guys are maybe only taking 20-25 full swings that round, not counting chips or putts. Hard to get into a groove that way.

Funniest part of today was Poulter going ham on the fairway with his hybrid after a mi shite. Dude took 4 huge chunks out of it right in the middle then kicked the grass chunks. Psychopath
